Full Description

Roll Over tarps are designed to work with the side to side (driver to passenger) opening mechanism that comes on most grain hauler trailers. For the most part it is just a rectangular tarp with a pocket on each side to slide the rods threw that attach your tarp to the mechanism that opens/closes it.  The most common roll over tarp requested is 10'6" wide x (length of your bed) with a 4" pocket on the driver side and a 2" pocket on the passenger side. On tarps like this we will double stitch a 2" webbing into the hem on both ends of the tarp. This hem runs the full width of the tarp so when it is folded over to create a pocket the inside edge is two layers thick with a 2" webbing lining the inside edge of the pocket.

If you need your tarp made different that is definitely not a problem. Here are a couple questions you should ask yourself before placing a custom order.

1. Which material to do I need? About 90% of our roll over tarps are made out of 22oz vinyl but we do have a few customers that request 11oz open mesh (almost half the price).
2. What width do you need? 10'6" is the most popular size but we also build a lot of 10' wide and several 9'6" wide.
3. Does you trailer have end caps? Most grain trailers already have metal end caps installed that the tarp rolls across but some have a vinyl cap that may need to be replaced.
4. Straight or Radius Front? Most grain trailers have a square front (or a cap that is straight) but some have a radius front.  If yours has a radius front put a square on the radius and measure from the point of the square back to where the square makes contact with the trailer (most are 18").
5. Do you need flaps? If your trailer does not have a cap on the rear you probably need a flap.  Most are 18" but we've had request from 12' to 24". If you need a flap does it need a pocket sewn in or grommets.  If grommets do you want the 12 or 24 inches part.
6. Do you need reinforcement straps on the driver side pocket? some mechanisms require a reinforced pocket.  For this style mechanism we usually reinforce the pocket with a 24" strip of webbing every 5' down the tarp.
