Custom UV Shade Cloth Tarp Cover - 7.5oz Closed Mesh 95% Solid Black

Shade cloth is a type of tarp used to block a percentage of the sun's UV rays to provide protection for the soil, plants, animals, people, or equipment underneath. Shade tarps are used for agricultural, industrial, and residential purposes. Shade cloths can be draped over structures like a greenhouse, mounted to the top of something like a pergola, be suspended between a tube frame, or simply staked to the ground for weed or frost control.

All shade cloths from Lookout Mountain Tarp are custom built to match the specifications of your order. Regardless of the fabric type selected, the tarp will feature a 2-ply hem that is reinforced using 2" wide heavy duty polypro webbing sometimes referred to as tape. This webbing is attached using two rows of our black 277 polyester bonded thread which features a 44 lbs breaking strength that is nearly double the industry standard. In the corners, as well as about every 24" around the hem, #2 brass locking spur grommets will be machine punched through the hem to provide extra strength.

This 7.5 ounce calendered woven polypropylene mesh is a popular choice for industrial shade cloths as well as many agricultural needs. The 95% shade rating blocks nearly all UV rays while reducing water and air flow to 250 cubic feet per minute. Due to the tight weave, it is important that tarps constructed using this material be mounted at an angle that allows rain water to flow off naturally. This fabric is available in 72", 108", or 144" roll sizes making it possible to create seamless tarps up to 11'8" long. Currently this material is only available in black and it features our highest temperature rating which is often required for uses around equipment. The slick calendared finish helps to prevent snagging and has minimal stretch allowing tarps to be constructed to fit within tight tolerances.
